On 23 October 2019, the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad hold a national day reception, where the performance of Mr. Roby Lakatos and his ensemble made the commemoration of the Revolution and the Freedom Fight of 1956 even more memorable. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor of the reception were Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Mohammad Azam Khan Swati and MOL Executive Vice President Mr. Berislav Gašo respectively.
In his speech, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó presented the importance of the regime change in 1989. He spoke about the most important elements of the bilateral relations and the developing business and trade cooperation, highlighting the role of the Hungarian MOL Oil and Gas company, which has been operating in Pakistan for 20 years. The Ambassador thanked the MOL’s and the Public Foundation for the Research of Central and East European History and Society’s contribution to the Hungarian national day.
On behalf of the Pakistani government Mr. Mohammad Azam Khan Swati congratulated on the occasion of the Hungarian national celebration, and he emphasized MOL's success in Pakistan to other Hungarian and international companies and investors.
The performance of the world-renowned violinist Mr. Roby Lakatos and his ensemble was a rarity in the cultural life of Islamabad. The concert of the six-person ensemble was a huge success among the 450 guests of the event.
